No heat required for application:
Unlike some other transfer methods, UV DTF does not requre heat pressing for application. instead, the printed design on the adhesive film can be applied t oa surface with pressure.
this make it easuer to work temperature-sensetive materuaks and simplifies the production pocess
1. Transferring the Film to the Prepared Surface :
Surface Preparation: Before transferring the film, ensure the surface is clean, dry, and free of any dust, oils, or contaminants. Use a clean cloth, ideally with a bit of isopropyl alcohol, to prepare the surface. This helps the adhesive bond well to the surface, preventing issues like peeling or bubbling.
Aligning the Film: Carefully position the transfer film with the design side facing down on the target surface. It’s crucial to align it accurately since adjusting it afterward could smudge the design or weaken adhesion.
Applying Pressure: Once positioned, press down on the film with firm, even pressure, using a squeegee or a similar tool to remove any air bubbles and ensure that the adhesive attaches fully. Begin from the center and move outward to the edges to avoid trapping air under the film.
2. Peeling Away the Film
Wait for Adhesion: Allow a few moments for the adhesive to bond fully to the surface. This doesn’t take long, as UV DTF films are designed to attach quickly.
Slow, Steady Peel: Start peeling the film from one corner, pulling it back slowly and at a shallow angle. This minimizes the chance of lifting any parts of the design and ensures an even, clean transfer.
Checking for Any Lifted Areas: As you peel, if you notice parts of the design aren’t fully attached, press down again with gentle pressure and allow a moment for reattachment before continuing to peel.
Final Curing (Optional)
For added durability, especially if the item will experience heavy use or sunlight, a final UV curing step may help. Exposing the design to UV light again will further harden the inks and bond them more securely to the surface.
